INTRO

To lower the cost and better the efficiency of solar installations, people have begun to look at transformerless inverters. Transformerless inverters promise higher efficiency and reliability, reduced volume, and lower cost.

 

​Removing the transformer, which provides DC and AC isolation, comes with many design challenges. We looked to tackle these challenges in order to bring transformerless inverters closer to realization.
